Casing can also be improved with special threads or mechanical joints for attachment to custom screen assemblies and provided in lengths up to 12 m (40 ft.).

The cased section of any well houses the pump, draws water from the source aquifer to the pump and seals the aquifer from contamination from adjacent zones. Bilfinger Water Technologies can provide the production casing which connects to the well screen. Steel casings are available in low-carbon steel and series’ 200, 304 and 316L stainless steel. These steel casings range in diameter from 12.7 mm (0.50 in.) to 914.4 mm (36 in.)
